There are many different types of contact lenses available for keratoconus. Depending on the degree of clinical significance, lifestyle and ocular health, the optimal contact lens can be determined for each patient. This article describes the different design options currently available, along with the goals to keep in mind when fitting these patients.
NEW JERSEY KC PATIENT EDUCATION SEMINAR
The Cornea and Laser Eye Institute in conjunction with the National Keratoconus Foundation, will be hosting a Keratoconus Educational Seminar.
At the seminar, scientists and clinicians will provide an overview of keratoconus and outline recent scientific breakthroughs, with particular focus on new contact lens designs, KC and allergies and dry eye issues, corneal crosslinking, corneal ring inlays and new corneal reshaping techniques, and an update on corneal transplant procedures.
This is a free seminar, but registration is required.
